Christmas punch

Welcome to the cozy season, where the scent of cinnamon and oranges fills the air and brings warmth to our hearts. Here at Nolte Küchen, we have the perfect recipe to bring this festive mood into your home: our delicious Christmas punch.

For this dish, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 4 bags of forest berry tea (or fruit tea)
  • 1 liter of water
  • 500 ml of black currant juice
  • 2 oranges (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (if desired)

Preparation:


Boil water in a kettle, place the tea bags in a pot, and pour the freshly boiled water over them. Let it steep for up to 10 minutes, depending on the type of tea. Meanwhile, squeeze the oranges and scrape the seeds from a vanilla bean using a knife. After the steeping time, remove the tea bags from the pot.

Add the black currant juice, freshly squeezed orange juice, and all other ingredients except for the honey to the pot. Bring it to a brief boil and then let it simmer on the stove at low heat for approximately 30 minutes. Taste and, if necessary, add honey. Strain the finished punch into glasses, decorate with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, and star anise, and serv
